PCN is run by Independent Check, a UK company formed in 2012
Independent Check Ltd makes guides, videos and websites for financial advisers, accountants and solicitors. It runs the Professional Connections Network (PCN), where firms in five professions refer clients to each other. There's one firm per profession in each postcode area.
Why does Independent Check run a referral network?
Independent Check already works with three of the five professions: it makes guides, videos and websites for financial advisers, accountants and solicitors. Clients of those firms regularly need one of the others. Estate agents and mortgage brokers see the same client moments: a house move, a death in the family, a business sale, retirement.
PCN gives each of the five professions one firm per postcode area, and a set route for referrals between them. Independent Check built it and runs it, and the same team answers the phone.
How are your clients' details handled?
A referral starts as a summary with no names or contact details. The receiving firm sees who the client is only after it accepts, and every referral records that the client agreed to be passed on.
Independent Check Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ZA389829). The privacy notice sets out what PCN stores and for how long.
Is your postcode area open?
Pick your profession and enter a postcode or town. If the area is open, you can hold it straight away.
Membership is free. PCN charges nothing to join and takes nothing from referrals.
